Support for RE  On behalf of All Saints’ Church, Miriam Heggie hands over to Headteacher, Mrs Sarah Joskey, a learning pack of over 60 books for children aged 4–11, posters, DVDs and teaching materials for teachers. They will be used for RE lessons and assemblies.

The money for the materials was raised by a coffee, cake and cards morning, and from other donations from the congregation. The total needed was raised to the penny! The presentation to the school took place at the school’s Celebration Service, as a gift for Pentecost, the following Sunday. Pentecost (Whit Sunday) is the time which marks the birth of the Church and the commission to go out and tell others of Jesus, so was very timely. The contents of the pack has been chosen to support parts of the national curriculum and this is well referenced for the teachers to use. The members of All Saints’ Church hope that this learning-resources pack will prove to become a welcome and much used addition to the new school library.
