The Wrington branch of the Royal British Legion led the parade from Broad Street. The Scouts and Guides had an exceptional Remembrance attendance, with a grand total of 74 young people from the Scout Section, and a total of 5 Beaver Leaders, 2 Cub Leaders, 5 Scout Leaders and 3 Explorer Leaders. There were over 30 Guides and Brownies together with their leaders. High numbers in the congregation meant there was standing room only around the font. The service was taken by the Rector, the Revd Nicholas Maddock, and the address was given by former RNR chaplain, the Revd Hugh Talbot, RD. The augmented church choir sang Let us now praise famous men by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
