This year’s charity evening was held to raise funds for Weston HospiceCare in memory of Wrington WI’s

immediate past President, Jan Alcock, and Mendip Swing very generously gave of their time and considerable

energy - and not a few raffle tickets ! - to allow all the proceeds to go for this worthy cause.

As is normal and expected on these occasions, those attending enjoyed a first class and imaginative meal,

including a sumptuous array of puddings - some decidedly on the naughty side. Some equally generous donors

of raffle prizes ensured that a large number of those present - including the band - took prizes home with them.
