The meeting began at 7pm after half-an-hour’s informal conversation over cups of tea and coffee. Approximately 50 parishioners
and councillors attended.
Guest speakers were
Fred Cowgill giving an update on the proposed community project for the old surgery building;
Clive Setter on public access defibrillators (a potentially lifesaving device soon to be installed in the village;
Lyndsay Newman, Wrington’s Village Agent - representing scheme to help isolated people in rural areas gain access to information
and support services, to extend the practicality of older people remaining living in their homes.
Reports were also given by District Councillor Deborah Yamanaka, Police Community Support Officer Yvette Mayo in place of
PC Lloyd Nethercott, Wrington Beat Manager, Echo Irving for John Adams of Wrington Twinning Association, Judith Gallop for
Richard Thorn on the Wrington Parish Charities, Gabrielle Wilson on Legge’s Charity, David Glynn finally gave the annual report
from the Parish Council and took any questions.
