Competitors’ preparations for taking part in the Match and Show took place under grey skies and persistent rain. Indeed,
everyone who could, spent as long as possible in the shelter of the marquee ! However, during the course of the morning,
the weather became more bearable, until, by lunchtime, the sun shone brilliantly.
Visitors to the Open Day at Lye Cross Farm had the benefit of being inside for the various stages of their tour anyway.
