All Saints’ Church
The joint carol service, normally held in All Saints’ Church, relocated to Wrington Chapel this year because All Saints’ was closed for reordering work being carried out. The All Saints’ choir was supplemented by an additional soprano, tenor and bass, and by Tom Davis and George Blundell, who sang solos -  Once in Royal David’s City and In the Bleak Midwinter respectively. One of the regular organists for All Saints’, Matthew Taylor, accompanied the singing, and the whole ensemble was conducted by the Rector, the Revd Nicholas Maddock - for the last time before his forthcoming retirement. The URC provided the subsequent refreshments, and this video benefitted hugely by being able to tap into the chapel’s sound system with the kind cooperation of Steve Osman.
