All Saints’ Church
The Parade, led by the Wrington Branch of the Royal British Legion, formed up in chill but dry weather in Broad Street, and, this year, the service was held as normal, in All Saints’, the renovations of which had resulted, last year, in it having to take place in the Memorial Hall, As ever, the final ceremony of wreath laying, was held around the war memorial in the churchyard. This year had its own innovation, however, when, because of the retirement of the Rector, the Revd Nicholas Maddock, the church service was presided over by the Revd Andrew Hemming, Assistant Priest, in charge of Christ Church, Redhill.
