In the March, 2005 issue of Wrington Village Journal there was an article entitled End of an era at Hailstones Farm.
Horace’s daughter, Jeanne, and her then husband, Mike Hawkings, had bought Hailstones when her father and
mother, Eve, retired in 1980 and moved to Ropers Lane. The Journal article recorded the departure of Jeanne and Mike from the
farm when they sold it.
Horace’s photographs were copied for the website.
