Painting with a free spirit
Julie Kingcott, whose work will be well
known to many Wrington residents, is
planning to run two workshops over the
coming months - one in Wrington and the
other, subject to interest, in Redhill.
Her approach will - as the title of the classes implies - be aimed at encouraging
people of all abilities and painting experience to find their own direction... exploring
what they hold inside...working experimentally and spontaneously, while managing
to retain control over the results.
On a practical level, she will be teaching techniques for
achieving texture, colour mixtures and shapes; but, even more critically, she will be
encouraging people to work directly from their imagination and memory ...exploring
the spirit of the subject.
