Guidelines for contributors
For all normal submissions about the events and activities of clubs and institutions around our villages, one page of the Journal ought
to be sufficient space. That's approximately 400-420 words, fewer if there are images. Please exercise moderation; as Editor I have
to try to be fair and make room for everyone else's pieces as well as yours. Excessively long articles may be reduced, either in
length, or font size, or both.
If you email me, please don't embed photos or logos in your text. Send them separately, and at the highest resolution you can
manage. You might be astonished at how dull and dowdy glowing colour images on computer screens become when they are
reduced in size, changed to black and white, and printed on paper.
Don’t send pdf files. They are very difficult to convert into a usable format. Word documents, or Rich Text Format, are ideal.

The Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank all our distributors of the Wrington, Redhill, Butcombe & Burrington Village Journal for all their work over the last year. We thank you all for forbearance during the changes during this period and hope the new system is now working well for you all. I hope all of you who attended the Wrington Flower Show had an enjoyable afternoon, despite the bad weather outside - the displays and are teas always make a visit worthwhile. With All Saints’ closed until next March, many things will be taking place at other venues, so please keep up to date by checking the latest issue of the Journal. We are still looking for an editor, any offers? Judith Gallop Committee Member For the time being, contributors and correspondents should still email their copy to: <wringtonjournal@gmail.com> Typed and handwritten copy may be sent or given to Judith Gallop, 3 Westward Close, Wrington, BS40 5LU.
