REDHILL VILLAGE HALL & CLUB We’ll meet again....
The events of the last two months show us all how precious our loved
ones really are and how mankind has come together to defeat this
invisible threat.
As VE Day dawns on 8th May 2020, it will be 75 years since the guns fell
silent at the end of the war in Europe.
Years of carnage and destruction came to an end and millions of people
took to the streets and pubs to celebrate peace, mourn their loved ones
and to hope for the future.
As a way of remembrance, here are some images from the event held at
Redhill Village Hall & Club for the 50th Anniversary of VE Day, 1995, plus
a picture of the Redhill Home Guard circ. 1942. Can you name any of
them ...?
We do hope that long after the corona virus has come and gone and
when this is all behind us, you’ll be keen re-unite with your fellow villagers
and support future events at Redhill Village Hall & Club in the years to
come.
Stay home, stay safe and well.
