Wrington School PTA Annual Fun Run  The base for the administration of the Fun Run, and the free massages for the runners was the Sports & Social Club on the Rec. as in past years. However, in common with other events of Fair Week, the rain-sodden turf of the pitches had to be protected from pounding feet. So, whilst the warm-up to music before the start could still be in front of the pavilion, the start and finish point had to use the top corner of the field, and the north-west entrance. Once on the road, the route was the usual one. As with the previous day’s pageant, a member of the group of visitors from our French twin village of Villeneuve-les-Béziers played an important role. Marc Cianni, here with his son, sounded the klaxon to signal the start, after a countdown by the school’s head teacher,  Mrs Sarah Joskey. Full results to follow shortly. Photographs by Steve Taylor
