This event, organised jointly by All Saints’ Church and Wrington URC, was a first of its kind, prompted by the success of the Nativity in the Barn staged last Christmas at Court Farm. The timing of this summer activity on this particular weekend meant it reminded us that Sunday was Fathers’ Day, hardly a religious festival, but a good enough excuse for bouncy castles, barbecued burgers, and much running about. The weather wasn’t as kind as it might have been, but at least the rain was held off by some strong winds. The location was the field next to Rydings farmhouse, by kind invitation of the Clements family. The programme included a short service of worship and praise.
