Former Deputy Head of Wrington VC Primary School, Pauline had the brilliant idea of inviting anyone who had been at the
school during her 50 years from 1967, to an open morning. She put together a selection of slides she’d taken over that period,
and this 10 minute slide-show ran on a continuous loop in the Year 1 classroom. In the main hall, Claire Bowen was issuing
name tags - to avoid the embarrassment of “I know the face, but I can’t put a name to it !”.
Meanwhile, Bob busied himself taking the shots on the next page. The nearly 60 returners were kept fed and watered by a band
of willing volunteers, food which included cakes kindly baked for the occasion. This was an unprecedented occasion - at least for
the last 50 years - and as you can hear from the video, everyone agreed it was a very special event, in a very special school,
and for a very special persion indeed. She wants everyone who came and everyone who helped, how grateful she is.
