One of the many events over the weekend of the Queen’s offical 90th birthday was the street party held by the residents of Brooklyn, Wrington. The event was organised by Fiona Maynard, the egg & spoon and slow cycling races were run by Jeanette Simson. The band, known for the day as The Brooklyn Rappers comprised Neil Phillips and Chris Simson, guitars, Charlotte on drums, and Duncan Tuck, vocals. Bob Bowen ensured the whole thing was well and truly photographed. The weather was kinder than seemed likely even in the morning, and the festivities continued past 11pm.
