There was a novel attraction at this year’s sweltering fete in the Court House paddock. It seems the England football team were playing a game, so vital to the morale of their country, that certain persons had refused to accompany their families to the local outdoor attractions, if that meant missing a single pass or goal of it the match. Thus it was that those resonsible for organising the Wrington event came up with a telly which would relay the event in far off Russia.
